Instructions

Slice 2 small apples and arrange them on a plate. Melt 1/2 cup dark chocolate in a pot and drizzle it on the apples in a circular motion, starting from the inside and moving out. To make the caramel: Heat 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup, 1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil, and 2 tablespoons almond butter in a pan or small pot on medium low heat. Stir frequently until a thick caramel sauce forms, which should take about 5 minutes. Drizzle this caramel over the chocolate-covered apple slices. Finally, top with 1/4 cup chopped walnuts. You can enjoy it while everything is warm and drizzly, or refrigerate it to harden.
